You may have seen that the Nobel Prize in economics this year was recently awarded to three economists, including Dr. Eugene Fama at the University of Chicago. Dr. Fama mentored two teaching assistants there, David Booth and Rex Sinquefield, who went on to co-found Dimensional Fund Advisors. I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend several workshops with Gene (as he likes to be called) over the past few years, which has been a real treat.
